Dialogue between Toni Segarra, Pau Garcia and Berta Sáenz: The future of creativity when artificial intelligence comes into play
Until now we had assumed that artificial intelligence would occupy our space in functional, operative and mechanical tasks in which reflexive, creative and imaginative processes would not play a large role. Of course, it couldn’t be any other way: this is what differentiated us from the “machines”.
Sin embargo: with the emergence of programs like DALL-E, which creates complex and rich images from textual indications; or from ChatGPT, an artificial intelligence chat prototype capable of maintaining dialogues and sustaining arguments about philosophy, law or religion; or AudioLM, which creates and reproduces music… what is the future that awaits the professions or disciplines that are based on the capacity, in principle strictly human, of abstraction and imagination?
In this talk, publicist and creative Toni Segarra and researcher Pau Garcia, co-founder of the agency Domestic Data Streamers, moderated by researcher Berta Sáenz, talk about the future of creativity in a present already marked by the improvement of the tools of artificial intelligence
